Hi, my name is Jessica—and I’m the owner and founder of Windmill Gypsy. In the picture to the left, you’ll see me with my husband Kent and our two boys, Dawson and Kreek. This little business of mine has become a full-blown family affair, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I’ve always had a clothing addiction. I was the go-to friend when someone needed help styling an outfit or digging through a closet for just the right look. Eventually, I became the girl that sold the clothes, too.
Over time, we’ve grown—and now we not only sell the clothes, we make them. We’ve transitioned into creating our own tees right here in our screen print shop, where I get to bring designs to life as the artist behind it all.
Where does the name come from?
My grandpa was raised in Clayton, OK. As a child, he’d visit family in West Texas where he could sit for hours just watching the windmills turn. In his later years, he raised cattle and was known for his pet deer “Daisy.” He spent his days under a shade tree, windmill spinning beside him.
My grandma was a gypsy at heart. She traveled the country in her hippie van and in the passenger seat of big trucks. She had a deep love for clothes and jewelry—especially anything leopard print or turquoise. I’ll forever hold those memories close.
